Poseable Sandman Fae Art Doll 'Quirin'
Do you ever wake to find your eyes filled with 'sleepy dust'? The Sandmen have been tip-toeing into rooms at night, sprinkling their magic sand into the corners of snoozy, dream-filled eyes.
Quirin is a unique, OOAK (one-of-a-kind) fantasy art doll sculpture. No molds have been taken or used. His head, hands and feet are sculpted in Cosclay polymer clay, hand painted with artist's acrylics and finished with matte and gloss varnishes. Cosclay gives delicate details like fingers, ears and the twist on top of his head the ability to flex and bend, making them more durable and less fragile. He is approx. 8.5 inches tall in total. Built predominantly over a strong wire armature with a soft stuffed body. His neck armature is made from a separate plastic ball and socket armature which allows his head to be repeatedly moved and repositioned - the neck armature will never tire or break with normal use. Arms and legs are also gently poseable but care must be taken not to reposition excessively for longevity of this function. Dressed in a blue and white spotted sleep suit with blue handmade polymer clay buttons, hand-sewn and lightly aged. He carries a burgundy suede pouch bag filled with sleepy sand. Other materials include onyx bead eyes and leather cord.
This sculpture is not intended as a toy and should be treated as artwork. Dust to clean - do not wet.
